EOOS received "the brightest light in design" award for the a1 lounge
EOOS / Günter Eder, Roman Breier (C) Statement of the jury: "a1 lounge looks amazing. Very impressive both externally and internally. The space and materiality have been consistently detailed to a high standard. It's probably what the Apple Store should have looked like."

The task was to create an unusual place for the sale of mobile telephones and associated services and products. EOOS searched for images which do justice to the situation in which today’s human beings exist—a situation between high technology and archaic behaviors.
The entire flagshipstore has three levels with a total of 700 square meters and consists of the cloud facade, the entrance area, the future ramp with future cubes and the interactive wall, the lounge and bar and the shop.
a1 lounge cloud facade
Bruno Klomfar (C)
The customer passes through a “cloud façade” an image symbolizing transcendence, to enter another world. The entire space inside the hollow, 12m x 8m glass façade is filled with billowing clouds of fog; the computer-driven fog system produces various scenarios of transcendence according to the time of day. Upon entrance, the clouds are pushed off to the side.
a1 lounge display tables
Paul Prader (C)
The intention was to arrive at a display medium that could present both real and virtual products side-by-side. The display units consist entirely of LCD screens, capable of transforming itself within seconds. Ringtones, background images, games and information on telecommunications services are displayed in the same style as the actual products. A sort of technological umbilical cord connects the table surfaces with the floor, beneath which countless cables lead to the server room, where the computers linked to the flat screens are separately mounted.
